Charlie Byrd

Charlie Byrd (September 16, 1925 - December 2, 1999) was an American jazz guitarist and composer, known largely for his contribution to the bossa nova genre. Most notably, his collaboration with Stan Getz on Jazz Samba (1962) contributed significantly to the globalisation of the genre in the early 1960s.
