Unlike Olson and Junior, Danny is immediately fearful of the atmosphere of the SS Ourang Medan. He is also superstitious as he believes the ghost of people who died in the ship stays there. He is submissive to Olson and obey him to the letter, despite not always agreeing with his methods. Olson was probably aware of this and may be the reason he later assumed Danny was helping the protagonists. He shows a lenient side of his personality as in “Revenge“, he saves Alex and Julia from drowning.
