Pepijn Adriaan Lanen (Utrecht, August 4, 1982), stage name Faberyayo, is a Dutch rapper who is part of rap trio De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig and pop group Le Le. He writes stories and columns for various magazines and made his debut in 2013 as an author with the collection of stories Sjeumig. His debut novel Naamloos was released in January 2016. In 2004 he met Freddy Tratlehner (Vieze Fur) and Olivier Locadia (Willie Wartaal), who together formed rap group Baksteen. This resulted in De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig. Their first single, the song Watskeburt?!, was released in 2005 by Magnetron Music and was an instant hit. It came in at number one in the Single Top 100 and is still the only song from them that finished so high. Faberyayo made five studio albums with De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig. Faberyayo was regularly found in sound studios and met Piet Parra and Rimer London there. The artists had a European project in mind and wanted to realize this. In 2007 they released a French-language EP.
