Frank Costello, born Francesco Castiglia, was also known as Castilla or Frank "Prime Minister" Costello (Lauropoli, January 26, 1891 - New York, February 18, 1973), was an Italian gangster, based in New York. He rose to the top of the American underworld, controlling a vast gambling empire across the United States, and enjoyed political influence like no other 'boss' in Cosa nostra.
