Luis Estrada Rodríguez (January 17, 1962; Mexico City, Mexico) is a director, screenwriter, writer and producer of Mexican cinema. He is the son of the famous film director José "El Perro" Estrada. He is known for his films of open criticism of the Mexican political system and the controversial issues that revolve around it. Two of his films, Herod's Law and Hell, have been controversial. He maintains a strong friendship with the actor Damián Alcázar, who has been the star of all his films since 1999.
