Luka Dončić (Slovene: [ˈlùːka ˈdòːntʃitʃ]; born February 28, 1999) is a Slovenian professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Slovenian national team. On February 6, Dončić recorded his third triple-double in a win over the Charlotte Hornets, which made him the youngest player in NBA history to record three triple-doubles. He edged Hall of Famer Magic Johnson by 117 days. On February 25, Dončić recorded his fourth triple-double. Dončić has four of the five triple-doubles recorded by teenagers in NBA history. Dončić recorded four rookie of the month awards for the 2018-19 season. Luka Dončić and Markelle Fultz are the only two teenagers in league history to have recorded triple-doubles. Fultz was 19 years, 317 days old; Doncic was 10 days older at 19 years and 327 days. His eight triple-doubles ranked fourth on the season and surpassed Magic Johnson for third-most triple-doubles by a rookie in NBA history.
