Mikkel Nielsen is the son of Ulrich and Katharina Nielsen, and brother of Magnus and Martha Nielsen. On November 4, 2019, he enters the Winden Caves with his brother and sister. The group scatters after hearing loud roaring, and Mikkel disappears. It is later revealed that he becomes stuck in the year 1986 and grows up to be Michael Kahnwald, the father of Jonas Kahnwald, the husband of Hannah Kahnwald and the adopted son of Ines Kahnwald.
