Wilkins is a puppet created by Jim Henson and one of two mascots for the 1950s Wilkins Coffee advertisements. Wilkins a fanatic advocate for the delicious taste of Wilkins Coffee, proclaiming it to be the best on earth. However, his love for the coffee hinges on being unhealthy, as when his friend Wontkins, who doesn't like coffee, tries to decline his offers to drink it, Wilkins comes up with hundreds of different torture methods to convince him to drink it, sometimes even killing him.
